The gradient nail is one of the easiest ways to apply nail art, but it can look quite difficult and the technique can be hard to master. In this video I will show you a few simple tricks you can use to get yours perfect every time!
I used a makeup sponge from my local supermarket and it came in a bag of 20 for $3. They're not expensive and they are really useful for a lot of different nail art designs. You can also cut them up into halves or quarters to reduce wastage.
If your makeup sponge is leaving chunks of sponge over your nail as you dab it, try wetting it and squeezing out the extra water out before applying the gradient or trying a different side of the sponge. Sometimes the way the sponge is layered as it is made makes it shed a lot easier.
If neither of these work then try a different brand or do not dab the sponge on as much before reapplying the polish. If the polish starts to dry as you press the sponge over the nail, the drying polish will pull at the sponge.
